BEST clears power bill amnesty scheme for 16,000 consumers, aims to recover Rs 39 crore

The BEST Committee has introduced an amnesty scheme designed to allow consumers to settle their outstanding electricity bills without incurring penalties. Applicable for bills dating from 2006 through 2023, this initiative aims to enhance revenue collection. Consumers will have three months, starting October 1, to enroll, accompanied by a media campaign to raise awareness. The
