Gabriel Coutinho faced severe harassment from his son Sham, which included physical and mental abuse. After years of mistreatment, Gabriel transferred ownership of his home to his daughters. He subsequently took his own life by jumping in front of a train at Naigaon station. In a suicide note, Gabriel named Sham and detailed his suffering from their persistent harassment.
