Fahadh Faasil's aspirations for studying in the US took a sharp turn following the September 11 attacks in 2001. After spending a few months at home, he resumed his education at SD College in Alappuzha before heading to the US. Over the course of six years abroad, a shift in his major to Philosophy altered his view on life and cinema.
