Nana Patekar was cremated in Pune with full state honours after passing away due to cardiac arrest. His family chose to proceed with the last rites on the same day he died. Many fans and prominent figures from the film industry attended the ceremony to pay their respects. Maharashtra Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister also visited his farmhouse to express their condolences.
