The Strategic Consequence
Check the official portal for any last‑minute updates on exam dates or venue changes before the test day.

The Uttar Pradesh Combined Institute of Subordinate Services (UPCISB) released the admit cards for its 2026 recruitment drive on Monday, confirming that candidates can now access their test details online. The examination will be held on December 10 for three posts , Manager, Clerk and Junior Engineer , across various departments of the state government. Each admit card contains the candidate’s roll number, photograph, exam centre, reporting time and a set of instructions that must be read carefully before the test day. The release follows the completion of the application phase, which closed on October 31.

Candidates are required to log in to the official UPCISB portal using their registration number and password to download the PDF version of the admit card. The website provides a step‑by‑step guide that includes checking the personal details, printing the document on plain white paper and attaching a valid photo ID at the top corner. Eligibility criteria for the three posts differ: managers must hold a graduate degree with at least three years of relevant experience, clerks need a minimum of 60 percent in their 12th standard, and junior engineers must have a diploma in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering. Aspirants are advised to verify their exam centre address and plan their travel well in advance.

The UPCISB positions are considered attractive because they offer job security, decent salaries and opportunities for career progression within the state bureaucracy. Successful candidates will join a workforce that supports public services such as revenue administration, water supply management and rural development projects. As the state government aims to strengthen its administrative capacity, the recruitment drive is expected to fill vacancies that have remained open for several years, thereby improving service delivery to citizens. Applicants should keep an eye on the official notification for any changes to the exam schedule or additional instructions.
