India advises its nationals in Saudi Arabia against filming missile interceptions
The Indian diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia has warned Indian citizens not to film missile interceptions occurring in the kingdom. It also announced that Air India and Air India Express have suspended flights to and from Riyadh and Dammam until further notice.

The Ministry of External Affairs, through its embassy in Riyadh, issued an advisory on Tuesday urging Indian nationals to avoid recording or sharing videos of missile interception activities that have been reported over Saudi airspace. The advisory points out that such actions could be interpreted as hostile by local authorities and may place Indian travelers at risk of detention or harassment. The warning comes after a series of aerial alerts that have heightened security measures across the region.
In a separate communication, the Indian mission confirmed that Air India and its low‑cost subsidiary Air India Express have temporarily halted all passenger services to Riyadh and Dammam. The suspension affects both inbound and outbound flights and is expected to remain in effect until the security situation stabilises. Travelers who have already booked tickets are being instructed to contact the airlines for refunds or re‑booking options, and the embassy is offering assistance with emergency travel arrangements where possible.
The advisory is significant for the Indian community in Saudi Arabia, which numbers in the hundreds of thousands and includes many workers in construction, healthcare and service sectors. It also matters to families in India who may have relatives travelling for work or pilgrimage. The government has urged citizens to stay informed through official channels, avoid crowded public areas during heightened alerts, and cooperate fully with local law enforcement. The situation will be reviewed daily, and further updates will be shared as new information becomes available.
