KMCC Qatar office theft: Police issue look-out notices against four
Police in Kerala have issued look out notices for four suspects linked to a theft at the KMCC office in Qatar. Two additional residents of Payyoli, Khamaruddeen and Razak, have been formally charged, bringing the total number of accused to eight.

The Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) maintains an office in Qatar that serves the large expatriate community from the state. Earlier this month, officials reported that valuable items and cash were taken from the office in a break‑in that shocked local members. The theft prompted an immediate investigation by both Qatari authorities and the Kerala police, who coordinated to trace the movement of the stolen property and identify those responsible.
Following the initial investigation, the Kerala police issued look out notices for four individuals believed to be involved in the crime. The notices request that the public report any sightings of the suspects to the nearest police station. In a subsequent court appearance, two men from the coastal town of Payyoli, identified as Khamaruddeen and Razak, were arraigned as accused. Their inclusion raised the total count of people facing charges in the case to eight, reflecting the breadth of the alleged conspiracy.
Legal experts note that the case will proceed through the regular criminal process, with the accused expected to appear for further hearings. The police have emphasized that the investigation remains open and that additional evidence may lead to more arrests. Community leaders have called for calm and cooperation, stressing that the incident, while serious, does not reflect the overall safety of the expatriate community in Qatar. The outcome of the trial will be watched closely by diaspora groups who rely on KMCC for cultural and social support.
